The artist Eugenia Pistryakova (the artistic name Ester Posek) was born in Odessa in 1927. During the Second World War she was evacuated to Central Asia, returned to Odessa after war. In 1991 she emigrated to Israel and lives in the suburbs of Haifa.
She graduated from Odessa Institute of Architecture and Construction. For more than 35 years her primary occupation was Industrial and Civil Architecture. For all these years art was her hobby. Her early works were mostly in watercolors.
In 1982 she made art her primary occupation. She started to use mostly oil, started to create her decorative boards and compositions on china.
She often visits USA where her children and grandchildren live, and sometimes travels to Europe.
Her favorite paintings are landscapes (especially with architectural details) and still-life compositions.
Lately she started to create fantasies on futuristic and mystical motives.
